Heart Thoughts: Grief and Giving

Happy Wednesday everyone… my heart is still full after the service and workshop on Sunday. We were blessed with author and retreat leader Betty Hill Crowson from Fryeburg, Maine. Betty’s latest book is You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know: A Women’s Guide through Grief and Loss. Betty shared many of her own experiences with loss and how she was not equipped to deal with the grief and therefore stuffed it into a sack, which she acknowledged that most of us have deep within our being. She brought to our awareness the shadow of grief. This shadow of grief are…

Heart Thoughts: Life Design

Unity Center for Spiritual Growth was ablaze with heightened spiritual energy on Saturday as the Positive Pathways to Wellness event was held. In the minds and hearts of the practitioners and the participants, it was a great success. From one who attended I got a message saying, “I loved it!” another “interesting, informative and most of all relaxing.” A shout out to Betti Lu Lewis and Catherine Escamilla for their time and energy in pulling this all together. A thank you to Mario Escamilla for the beautiful logo. After speaking with the practitioners, they are eager to do something similar…

Heart Thoughts: Unexpected Income

Wow… sums up the women’s retreat! The energy both Friday night and Saturday was palpable. The fire circle was very meaningful. We had a couple of really cool practices that we had fun with. Yes, I used the word FUN… that sums up the event. Although we learned a lot, we also had fun and laughed a lot. During the closing circle the word connection was used over and over again… we were so grateful for the connection and being with one another. Thank you to Cindy Uhl and Steph Plourde for supporting this event and to Sue Vittner, facilitator…

Heart Thoughts: Expect the Unexpected

I want to first acknowledge the challenge those of you online experienced on Sunday with the quality of the sound coming from my microphone. I will be making every effort to eliminate that this coming Sunday. I want to highlight the Women’s Writing for Spiritual Exploration class, as it went so well. Here are a few testimonies from it: wow I am deeply moved by all your shares thank you; this has been wonderful! Moved by the openness and sharing, thank you, everyone. You can see where this class is filling a need that women are missing. There is still…
