Heart Thoughts: Take a Stand

As we embrace another week, I find myself once again reflecting on the weather. Warm temperatures have arrived, but with the humidity, it’s not always as pleasant as we’d like. Remember to take good care of yourself and stay hydrated during these days. Now, let’s shift our focus to some exciting upcoming events: Park and Sell Extravaganza (Saturday): Date: This Saturday Time: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. What’s it all about? The celebration of Bill Taylor’s 102nd birthday continued during and after the service. During the service, he was presented with a Gold Medal and received the full accolades of an Olympian champion. Bill Taylor, who could have been there as a two-year-old during the last French-hosted Olympics, was honored. After the service, attendees gathered in Fellowship Hall to enjoy a slice of birthday cake, commemorating this extraordinary occasion. Additionally, energy is building as bids are posted for…

Heart Thoughts: Revitalizing a Place for Prayer

This past Sunday was a departure from my usual routine, as I found myself not heading to church. A heartfelt thank you goes out to Rev. Todd Glacy and Sue Vittner for delivering a wonderful service, accompanied by the harmonious tunes of our music team. The day’s discourse, titled “The Magic of Music and Mantra,” was truly enlightening. For those who couldn’t attend, a recording is available here for your viewing pleasure. Regrettably, our eagerly anticipated “Unity’s Got Talent” event last Friday had to be postponed due to the looming threat of severe thunderstorms. Making decisions in such unpredictable weather…
