Another wonderful week has come to an end as a new one begins. We have been blessed with spectacular weather, though our lush vegetable garden and our personal gardens at home would certainly welcome a little rain.
Speaking of gardens, fresh vegetables were available on Sunday for everyone to take home. A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated volunteers who water, weed, nurture, and tend the garden throughout the season. Your loving care makes the harvest possible, and our community is richer because of your efforts. We are truly grateful for all who help this beautiful ministry grow.
Peace Concert – July 24
Join us for a beautiful evening of music, inspiration and hope at our Peace Concert on July 24, featuring Abed Manasra of the Abrahamic Reunion – an international interfaith community dedicated to building peace and understanding among Jews, Christians, Muslims, Druze, and people of all spiritual paths. The Abrahamic Reunion works to heal divisions by fostering dialogue, friendship, prayer and cooperation across faith traditions, demonstrating that our shared humanity is far stronger than what separates us.
Through music and a vision of unity, this special concert will remind us that peace begins in the heart and expands into our communities and our world. Come be part of an uplifting evening that celebrates our common values and our collective longing for a more compassionate and harmonious future. All are welcome.
Purpose Does Not Require Certainty
This Sunday we explored a reassuring truth: Purpose does not require certainty — it only requires our next yes. In a world that often feels unpredictable, many of us wonder if we’ve lost our direction or whether our lives still matter. Yet purpose is not something we lose; it is something we continually rediscover.
Using the image of a lighthouse guiding a ship through dense fog, we reflected on the idea that life rarely reveals the entire path at once. Instead, Spirit provides enough light for the next step. Purpose is less about having a complete roadmap and more about trusting the guidance that emerges when we align with our deepest values.
We considered how purpose changes throughout the seasons of our lives and often shows up through simple acts of service, compassion, connection, creativity, and love. Rather than asking, “What is my purpose?” perhaps the better question is, “What do I value most deeply?” Purpose grows when those values are put into action.
The invitation for the week is simple: Each day, take one aligned action. Ask yourself: What is the most loving choice? What is the most authentic choice? Then trust the wisdom within and take that step. Purpose unfolds not through certainty, but through participation in life.
Affirmation: My life has meaning. I am led to what matters.

As we conclude our series, Awakening in a Changing World, we’ll explore “Blessing the Future: Becoming a Presence of Peace.” Rather than waiting for the world around us to change, we’ll discover how spiritual awakening matures into embodied presence and how we can become the calm, kindness, and compassion we wish to see in the world.
