This Sunday is our Thanksgiving Dinner, and I am excited to share a meal with all of you. We’ll be serving both a traditional roasted turkey and a smoked turkey, along with all the fixings. Looking forward to a wonderful gathering!
What an extraordinary week this has been, as if I’ve been catapulted into a whole new dimension. You might wonder why I feel this way. It’s because I have had the incredible privilege of spending the last several days with Mary Reed. Her presence is transformative, and being around her invariably brings change. Mary is one of those exceptional individuals who, once you meet her, you realize you have welcomed not only a profound teacher but also a dear friend into your life.
My message this week is going to be short and sweet! If you missed the service on Sunday, November 17, you can watch it here. We all need the message Mary gave, titled “What Divine Playfulness Teaches Us.” Humanity is in the breakdown of the old consciousness of fear and entering a new consciousness of joy. Each of us has the choice to align with the old or the new. The old has us entrenched in us versus them, in victim and fear, which is separation consciousness. I am separate and apart from God. To enter the new consciousness of love and joy, she gave us a simple formula of focus and intention. Always asking where I am focusing and what is my intention. Am I focusing on what is going to bring me joy and setting the intention to move in that direction? The more I pay attention and apply the formula, the easier life becomes. The more playfulness is showing up. The more I am in a calm and peaceful place within myself.
We’re just two weeks away from Giving Tuesday on December 3, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. We’ve got some fantastic guests lined up to join us, bringing their energy and holiday cheer throughout the day and into the evening. Our theme for this campaign is Back in the Black and Spread the Warmth. Let’s raise the vibe together and celebrate this wonderful season and take us over the finish line of $20,000 for heat pumps and operating funds.
I’m deeply grateful for each of you taking the time to read this. You truly are special!
You are a blessing in my life,
Rev. Patricia Bessey
