Heart Thoughts: Your Life is the Prize

This Sunday is a big day! We’re excited to welcome four new members: Aaron Germana, Karen Alling, Natasha Lougee, and Christine Koza. They’ve completed the Independent Study to join us. If you’re interested in becoming a member, reach out to me!

Right after the service, we’ll have our Annual Meeting. This is our chance to look back on the past year and plan for the future. Our fiscal year runs from September 1 to August 31. We’ll be electing new board members, and I’m thrilled to announce that Betti Lu Lewis and Sue Vittner are returning for a second term. Janice Murphy and Jim Staebler are also returning as alternates. Plus Nancy Sawyer will be joining us as a non-elected, non-voting Board Affiliate for one year.

We’ll review our financials and discuss what’s working and what we can improve. Please review the attached Year End Balance Sheet before the meeting along with the other documents for the Annual Meeting. Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Isaiah 40:31: But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”

This is the scripture that sets up the series Mighty is the Soaring Spirit.

During Sunday’s talk, we explored the empowering idea that “Your Life Will Be a Prize.” We focused on recognizing the inherent worth and potential within each of us. The talk emphasized that our lives are precious gifts, filled with endless possibilities and opportunities.

We delved into the concept that, like an eagle rising above the storm, we can soar to new heights by embracing our unique purpose and trusting in a higher plan. By understanding that our lives are valuable and deserving of all the good the universe has to offer, we can move forward with confidence and joy.

The message encouraged us to see challenges as steppingstones and to believe in our ability to achieve greatness. It was a call to appreciate the gift of life and to live it fully, recognizing the divine plan that guides us.

Next Sunday we will continue with “Find the Dream.”

Know that you are so very loved and appreciated.

You are a blessing in my life,
Rev. Patricia Bessey
