The energy in the service this Sunday was electric. The music, the laughter, the new folks that brought their love and enthusiasm and it mixed so well with those of us here regularly. It is a testament to this community when on the welcome card we get comments like we did this week. When asked how you were greeted when you arrived and to have the answer be: most graciously, felt beyond welcomed. When asked what you liked most about the church and the service: the beautiful music, all the wonderful stories, the prayers, the service itself… Friends, every one of us contributes to this experience for those coming for the first time. Thank you for being such great ambassadors for our community.
A shout out to Julie Thompson and her presence these last two weeks. It is a joy to have her with us when she makes her way home to Maine from Wisconsin. Julie, we love you!
The message on Sunday was from the series Words of Wisdom. It was Words to Love By. The message focused on six areas of love. They were:
• Remember the power of love
• Give people room to be less than perfect
• Let Love in as well as out
• Appreciate differences
• Look with your heart even more than your eyes
• Know something about human nature
