Labyrinth Service Opportunity: We’re preparing to revitalize our labyrinth, and we need your help! Starting this Saturday and every Saturday in August, Cali Crowley will be at the labyrinth between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., removing the rocks that line the pathway. If you can lend a hand, Cali would greatly appreciate it. Feel free to bring along children or grandchildren who’d like to serve. If weekdays work better for you, come see what’s needed. Let’s complete this by the end of August!

This past Sunday was the culmination of our journey through the book The Soul of Money written by Lynne Twist. Each week Lynne focused on moving us away from the three toxic myths of 1) there is not enough 2) more is better 3) it is just the way it is, away from scarcity to sufficiency.

This week the title was The Turning Tide. This chapter came about because of a meeting Twist had with the Dalai Lama. She was part of a group of world leaders with Synthesis Dialogues. This was a series of conversations about the role money plays in our lives and in the world. One of the key themes that came out of these conversations was the idea that the world is awakening, and the tide is turning.

Although this book was published in 2017, it is appropriate for what is happening right now. People are starting to dance “a new dance” and, as Buckminster Fuller called it, the “you and me” world. A new world is born. In this world, we cultivate the idea that there is enough for everyone, and we steward resources wisely to ensure prosperity for all.

But this transformation can only happen when we operate from a mindset of Possibility, Responsibility, and Sufficiency, rather than scarcity. When we shift to a mindset of possibility and responsibility, we open ourselves up to new opportunities and creative solutions.

Transformation is what we are about here… and here are some quotes from Buckminster Fuller that gives us the blueprint…

“You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.”

“Never forget that you are one of a kind. If there weren’t any need for you in all your uniqueness to be on this earth, you wouldn’t be here.”

“Remember, one person can make a difference in the world.”

“There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it’s going to be a butterfly.”

“We are called to be architects of the future, not its victims.”

“You do not belong to you. You belong to the universe”.

“The significance of you will remain forever obscure to you, but you may assume you are fulfilling your significance if you apply yourself to converting all you experience to the highest advantage of others.”

Fuller’s wisdom encourages us to think beyond the ordinary, embrace change, and contribute positively to the world.

The affirmation from this talk:

“As I embrace the turning tide, I release scarcity and welcome abundance. With gratitude for what I have, I create ripples of positive impact. My actions matter, and sufficiency flows through me like a river, nourishing my soul and the world.”
