Heart Thoughts: Spring Awakening

As I frequently mention, I am composing this on Sunday afternoon, with the vibrant energy of the morning still flowing within me. Today is Easter, and an absolutely magnificent Easter service unfolded at Unity Center for Spiritual Growth. The music, the message, and the meditation were all profoundly moving, but most importantly, it was the presence of each of you seated in those chairs that made this occasion truly special. If you happened to miss the Easter service due to other commitments, I wholeheartedly encourage you to watch it now.
A heartfelt thank you to all who contributed delightful treats to accompany our coffee and tea. Witnessing the lively conversations unfolding in Unity Hall after the service truly warms my heart. It’s the shared food that beckons people, creating a sense of community. And looking ahead, next week brings potluck Sunday, offering yet another chance for us to come together, share a meal, and break bread in fellowship.

A special thank you to Vanessa Gates-Elston for giving me permission to share her writing on welcoming in April.

Welcome April! Honoring Aphrodite and the origin of April to open into the new, blossoming forth, allowing all the love that is within: without to guide, inspire, protect, serve, galvanize, and support your goals, wishes, intentions, desires, and hopes this sacred month!

Honoring April Fools. Passover, Earth Day, Poetry, welcoming in Taurus, and the Aries Solar Eclipse, impacting much of North America. The next solar eclipse is August 23, 2044. The April Full Pink Moon in Scorpio is on April 23rd.

The daisy and sweet pea are both considered the birth flower of April and the diamond is April’s birthstone. April is the birth month of luminaries: leaders: visionaries Leonardo Da Vinci, William Shakespeare, Queen Elizabeth II, Charlie Chaplin, Jane Goodall, and others.

Find what lights you up this April. Mercury Retrograde April 1-April 25 and the rare April 21 conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus allow an expansion this month. Though they come together every 12-14 years, the last time Jupiter and Uranus came together in Taurus was 1941, before that 1858 so be open to freedom, expansion, and innovation.

As we know April showers bring May flowers and TS Eliot’s Wasteland beginning:

April is the cruellest month, breeding
Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing
Memory and desire, stirring
Dull roots with spring rain.

Honor all that you need for your own Spring Awakening this month to take place. Allow anything that feels like a setback to be an opportunity for healing, awareness, wholeness, illumination to set you free to ascend abundantly this month!

Next Sunday we will be continuing with the book Supercharged Self-Healing and Step 6: Turn Off the Program of Illness.

Know that you are so very loved and appreciated.

You are a blessing in my life,
Rev. Patricia Bessey
