What a beautiful Sunday at Unity Center for Spiritual Growth!
There’s so much to be grateful for — our new roof is complete; the labyrinth is getting some well-deserved love, and the garden is thriving. It’s such a joy to see everything coming together.
I’m especially excited to share that we have some wonderful events coming up that I think you’ll really enjoy.
First up: Mary Reed, the mystic, is returning this September! If you’ve experienced Mary’s presence before, you know how powerful her visits are. Then in November, I’ll be co-leading another Silent Retreat with Jack Seery. We’ll be gathering at the peaceful Oceanwood Camp and Conference Center in Ocean Park from November 7–9. This is a chance to step away from the noise, unplug from our screens, and reconnect with stillness before we move into 2026. It’s going to be a truly nourishing experience.

Sunday’s message was Planting Seeds in Barren Soil: Faith Before the Flouring. In this message, I explored what it means to trust in the unseen and to plant seeds of hope, love, and purpose — even when the ground of our lives feels dry and unyielding.
Drawing from both spiritual wisdom and personal insight, I reminded you that faith is not about waiting for perfect conditions but about believing in the potential of what can be, even when we can’t yet see it.
The Bible story of Elijah and the Widow was a great reminder of faith and trust. I invite you to consider: What seeds are you being called to plant right now? And can you trust that, in time, they will bloom?
As Charles Fillmore co-founder of Unity wrote, “Faith is the perceiving power of the mind linked with the power to shape substance.”
This talk was a powerful reminder that the Divine is always at work beneath the surface — and that our role is to keep showing up, keep planting, and keep believing.
