We are already in mid-October, heading into the final months of 2024. What a year it has been! Join us on October 27, when we have our Annual Meeting, where we will review the exciting accomplishments of our community. Additionally, we will be welcoming new members during our service. I have begun a new series and, from the comments that were shared with me on Sunday, this is going to be of value to many of you. The series is Mighty Is the Soaring Spirit and the talk title was On Eagle’s Wings.
The scripture that the series is designed after is Isaiah 40:31 “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”
These powerful words are given to us to inspire and help us all to continue to soar like eagles.
A few known facts about eagles are they have sharp vision. They remind us to look beyond the surface and see the bigger picture.
They are known for inner strength, and they inspire us to harness our inner strength and face challenges head-on. Fly into the wind!
They are known to soar to great heights. We are encouraged to rise about our problems and see things from a higher perspective.
Eagles undergo a molting process, shedding old feathers and growing new ones. This symbolizes the importance of renewal and transformation in our lives.
They are known for their focus. Eagles can lock their focus on their prey from miles away. They teach us the value of concentration and determination in staying the course… going for our goals.
We have the vision, the strength, the elevation, the renewal and the focus… we have everything that is needed, and it begins with a decision…
1. Decide to take a chance.
2. Decide to take a road less traveled.
3. Decide to fly into the wind.
