Heart Thoughts of Spring

Spring is really starting to show up at Unity Center for Spiritual Growth, and there’s a lot of great energy around the grounds! The Garden Team is in full swing with planting, and they could definitely use a few extra hands. If you’d like to pitch in, let us know.

The Labyrinth Team is also getting ready to dig in — literally! This week, loam is being delivered for the planting boxes along the outer edge of the labyrinth. Cali Crowley will be out there on Friday at 10 a.m. to start filling in the boxes, and she’d love some company. If this speaks to you, come lend a hand!

We’re also looking for some perennial bulbs to bring the garden boxes to life. Specifically, we’re hoping for tiger lilies (solid red and orange), Black-eyed Susans, hyacinths, daisies, jonquils, daffodils, and tulips — about 50 bulbs of each if possible.

If you don’t have bulbs on hand but still want to help, gift cards to Lowe’s or Home Depot are a wonderful way to support the effort!

And stay tuned —n ext week we’ll be sharing what’s needed for the new English gardens we’re planning to create!

Our Mother’s Day service got some amazing feedback — people absolutely loved it! A big shoutout to the incredible women who brought the 12 Women of the Bible to life: Susanne Randall, Karen Alling, Janice Murphy, Nancy Sawyer, Yvette Nadeau, Mimo Otis, Carol Sterling, Jaclyn Ashla, Michelle Buck, Bonnie Dalrymple, Christina Curit, and Kelly Weisslender. You were all truly inspiring.

A heartfelt thank-you also goes to our amazing music director, Deana Gurney, who added so much depth to the service by opening each story with a beautiful musical piece.

If you didn’t get a chance to join us, no worries — you can watch the service here.

I’m deeply grateful for each of you taking the time to read this. You truly are special!

You are a blessing in my life,

Rev. Patricia Bessey
