Easter may have passed, but I can still feel the lingering energy of celebration. After so many years of leading Easter services, I am always moved by the message of renewal and resurrection. It never grows old. And this year, it feels especially significant, as it holds even more depth since Rev. LeRoy’s passing. The reminder that life is eternal, that there is no true death, brings great comfort and reassurance.
In the spirit of renewal, I’ve been decluttering, sorting through old journals today. I came across the one I kept in the mornings after Rev. LeRoy’s passing, filled with reflections and prayers. Reading through it reminded me of something profound — that our connection, our communication, has never stopped. It continues, crossing boundaries we once thought were fixed, and I truly believe this kind of connection is available to everyone.
As I sat with these thoughts, I found myself reflecting on the story of Mary Magdalene seeing Jesus after the resurrection, mistaking him for a gardener, and then later, his appearance as he walked alongside the disciples. The Easter story holds a deep and mystical truth — the idea that life doesn’t end, that presence and love transcend what we see with our physical eyes. It is, in every sense, a mystical experience.
May we all carry this message forward — that renewal is always possible, and that love, and connection are never lost.
