Another week has flown by — and here we are, already at the midpoint of 2025. So much has transpired in just six months, and we’ve been blessed with many wonderful programs, deep connections, and spirit-filled moments. The second half of the year is shaping up to be just as vibrant and inspiring.
This Friday evening, we gather for our Summer Solstice event with the luminous Vanessa Gates-Elston. Vanessa brings many gifts, and I’m personally excited to experience what she has prepared for us. I hope you’ll join us at 6:30 p.m. for this sacred celebration.
The Garden and Labyrinth teams are tending to our sacred grounds with dedication and love. The Garden Team could use a few more helping hands to water regularly, and the Labyrinth Team is inviting volunteers to stay for an hour after service on Sunday to help clear pesky weeds sneaking through the barrier. This involves spraying a safe, non-toxic solution — and don’t worry, Cali Crowley will be guiding the process with her usual calm and clarity.
As in any beloved home, sometimes unexpected repairs arise. This season, we find ourselves needing to re-shingle the back side of our roof. Thanks to the generosity of our contractor Christian Pratt and the good people at Assured Solar Energy, we’ve received discounted rates—but the total cost still comes to $12,500. The solar panels will need to be removed and reinstalled as part of the process.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, we invite you to be part of this endeavor. Could you purchase a couple of bundles of shingles? Each one is $50, and we need 100 bundles total. That would cover $5,000 for the project. Every contribution—no matter the size—makes a real difference.

This past Sunday, we explored the sacred art of keeping agreements — not just as a matter of integrity, but as a spiritual practice that anchors us in trust, clarity, and divine alignment.
We began by recognizing that every agreement — spoken or silent, formal or felt — is a promise of presence. When we honor our agreements, we nurture safety in relationships and coherence in community. And when we break them (as we sometimes do, being beautifully human), the invitation is to make a conscious repair rather than retreat.
We explored how keeping agreements isn’t about perfection, but it’s about authenticity and awareness. “Did I say what I meant? Did I mean what I said? Am I willing to clean it up if something falls through?” These questions guide us back to integrity without shame, blame, or rigidity.
The conversation also touched on:
• The importance of being mindful in what we agree to—so we’re not overcommitting or saying “yes” when we mean “no.”
• What broken agreements, when addressed with grace, can become opportunities for healing and deeper connection.
• And how, as spiritual leaders and community members, keeping agreements builds a culture of trust where sacred service thrives.
In the end, it’s not just about keeping your word, it’s about keeping your presence aligned with your intention.
This Sunday will conclude the series “Let It Be Easy” with Take Responsibility for Your Experience. We will recognize our role in shaping our experiences through thoughts, choices, and actions. Shift blame to ownership as a path to healing and empowerment. View responsibility as an opportunity to create transformation.
