Heart Thoughts: Four Directions of Consciousness

Happy Valentine’s Day! I find myself reminiscing about grade school, where receiving valentines from classmates was such a thrill. I can’t recall exactly when that tradition faded, but what I’ve discovered is that the essence of love endures. Recently marking the second anniversary of LeRoy’s graduation into the Greater Reality, the love we shared for 32 years in his physical presence persists. Just as our cherished ones live on beyond the physical realm, so does love. If you haven’t realized it yet, know that you are deeply loved.

In less than 30 days we move into daylight savings time. With that in mind it will soon be time to continue the garden project that began last fall. If you have a desire to play in the dirt with other fun-loving folks, then this is the team for you. Send me an email if this is yours to do.

The message on Sunday was a continuation on the book series Supercharged Self-Healing written by RJ Spina. The topic was making use of the four directions of consciousness. As he outlines the four directions are reason, emotions and feeling, faith, and will.

He explains how we use them this way… we use the intellect through reasoning… then we consider emotions and feelings as it relates to our decisions. Next comes faith… this is where we trust that the choice made is the right way to go now. Now based on what we have been learning over the last few weeks, we are usually operating from our limited belief- based egoic identity which is this as the “who” we think we are. This belief-based egoic identity is a limitation program that runs by thinking. We then use our will (energy) at the bidding of our egoic identity to bring none, some, or all of it to fruition.

I outline each of these in the message. You can watch it here.

If you have not determined which of the four best reflects you, try on each using this sentence:

I tend to experience my best results when I…

• Use my head – reason.
• Trust my gut – emotions and feelings.
• Know that I am being guided – faith.
• Use my determination – will.

Once you determine which avenue of consciousness most resonates with you… you are now positioned to begin the reclaiming of your own well-being.

Next week we begin with Step 1 – Access Your True Essence.

Know that you are so very loved and appreciated.

You are a blessing in my life,
Rev. Patricia Bessey
