Heart Thoughts: Exciting News!

Giving Tuesday 2024 has once again surpassed our expectations! We have raised an incredible $21,000, exceeding our goal of $20,000. This generous support comes at a crucial time, as our heating system in Fellowship Hall has recently failed. Thanks to your donations, we are hopeful that this issue will be resolved soon.

This week, we have two important events that we’d love for you to join:

Remembrance Service: Tonight at 7 p.m., we will gather for our Remembrance Service. If you are seeking support for the loss of a loved one, whether it’s recent or from years past, this service offers a space for reflection and comfort. The holidays often bring up a mix of emotions, and this is a chance to find solace in a supportive community.

Sound Journey for The Holidays: On Sunday afternoon, join Jason and Rebecca LaWind for a special Sound Journey from 3 o 4:15 p.m. This unique experience is designed to bring peace and harmony during the busy holiday season.

We hope to see you at these events and thank you once again for your incredible generosity and support.

This past Sunday was the Second Sunday of Advent, and the theme was Peace. The message of “Zechariah’s Song: Embracing the Dawn of Divine Consciousness” was a beautiful poetic piece of scripture found in Luke 1: 68-79.

“Blessed be the Lord God of Israel,
for he has looked favorably on his people and redeemed them.
69 He has raised up a mighty savior for us
in the house of his child David,
70 as he spoke through the mouth of his holy prophets from of old,
71 that we would be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us.
72 Thus he has shown the mercy promised to our ancestors
and has remembered his holy covenant,
73 the oath that he swore to our ancestor Abraham,
to grant us 74
that we, being rescued from the hands of our enemies,
might serve him without fear,
75 in holiness and righteousness
in his presence all our days.
76 And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High,
for you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways,
77 to give his people knowledge of salvation
by the forgiveness of their sins.
78 Because of the tender mercy of our God,
the dawn from on high will break upon us,
79 to shine upon those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Here are the affirmations for you to meditate on during the week:

Affirmation: “I bless the presence of God in my life. I trust that the Divine is always working for my highest good, and I am lifted into a new consciousness of love, peace, and wholeness.”

Affirmation: “I have faith in the fulfillment of God’s promises in my life. I trust that my divine potential is being realized, and I am open to the Christ consciousness within me.”

Affirmation: “I am free from fear, doubt, and limitation. Divine love liberates me, and I walk in the freedom and peace of my oneness with God.”

Affirmation: “I am a vessel for the Divine to express through. I serve in holiness and righteousness, using my gifts to bless the world and fulfill my divine purpose.”

Affirmation: “The light of Christ is awakening within me. I walk in the way of peace, and I am a light-bearer, sharing the love, wisdom, and joy of the Divine with the world.”

If you missed the service, you can watch it here.

Next week will be “The Angels’ Song: Living in the Glory of Divine Peace”

I’m deeply grateful for each of you taking the time to read this. You truly are special!

You are a blessing in my life,
