Whenever I sit down to write, I ask myself: What do you need to hear from me? What programs will truly support your spiritual journey? And the answer is always the same — everything we offer is designed to deepen and nurture your spiritual growth.
Let’s start with Sacred Listening: Answering the Call Within. This program is all about tapping into your own inner wisdom. Rev. Dr. Ryan Polly and I bring training from diverse modalities, weaving together a rich tapestry that will help you gain a deeper understanding of your purpose. Through this journey, your intuition becomes a trusted guide, leading you forward on your path.
Following that, we invite you to Echoes of Grace: Honoring the Stories That Shaped Us. Along with Karen Swasey Jones, I’ll help facilitate this free offering, where we explore the power of storytelling, how it preserves our heritage and shapes our future. Through shared wisdom, personal reflection, and meaningful discussions, we’ll uncover how ancestral stories strengthen our identity and inspire enduring grace.
This workshop is also an opportunity to discover whether this calling resonates with you. Through Maine Sunshine Companions, a program within Soaring Eagles Ministry, you can help others tell their stories and preserve them in a Legacy Book, creating something truly lasting and meaningful.
You will hear more about this volunteer opportunity at the workshop. I’d love for you to join as these programs are designed with you in mind, supporting both personal transformation and the connections we share as a community.
In Sunday’s message the topic was Speak the Truth: The Path to Freedom and Ease. Truth is one of the most transformative forces in our lives. It liberates us, deepens our spiritual integrity, and fosters authentic connection. Yet, speaking truth, both to ourselves and others, can feel daunting, often tangled in fear or resistance.
Tolly Burkan, in Let It Be Easy, reminds us that struggle is optional. Truth does not need to be a battle; it can be embraced with ease. When we cultivate awareness, we recognize when we are avoiding truth and learn to speak it with grace.
This week’s message invites us to explore how truth sets us free and how paying attention helps us uncover the truths we may be resisting. We examined the difference between honesty and truth, learning to align our words and actions with deeper spiritual wisdom.
Jesus’ interaction with Pilate (John 18:28–38) illustrates how truth remains unshaken by external pressures. Like Pilate, we may be honest yet miss a greater reality. True integrity calls us to pause, notice, and realign, daring to seek not just what feels true, but what is true.
As we step into this practice, let us commit to:
• Paying attention when truth whispers
• Speaking truth with kindness
• Trusting that truth leads to freedom
By embracing truth with courage and grace, we create space for healing, clarity, and deeper spiritual growth. If you missed seeing the service, you can watch it here.
Next Sunday we will continue with Ask for What You Want from the series Let It Be Easy. Recognizing that asking is an act of self-respect and self-care. The role of clarity and specificity in expressing our needs. Overcoming barriers like fear of rejection or guilt in asking.
Looking forward to sharing this with you!
I’m deeply grateful for each of you taking the time to read this. You truly are special!
You are a blessing in my life,
Rev. Patricia Bessey
